The main ingredients of this new product are lactic acids and our globally renowned Improver preparation.
Lactic acid, an organic compound with the formula CH3CH(OH)COOH, is a clear liquid. Compared to acetic acid, lactic acid deprotonates ten times faster. In 1856, Louis Pasteur discovered Lactobacillus and its role in lactic acid production. Lactic acid fermentation occurs through the action of lactic acid bacteria in the pigeons’ intestines, protecting against pathogenic bacteria. Hence the benefits of adding probiotics (lactic acid bacteria) to pigeon feed or drinking water. Continuous introduction of lactic acid (produced by probiotic/lactic acid bacteria) in drinking water over a certain period yields effects comparable to live probiotic cultures.

The combination of lactic acid and the Improver preparation has a tremendous impact on the health of young birds. After using AdenoS, the disease shows reduced severity in young birds. AdenoS DOES NOT kill the virus. However, the combination of natural organic acids and vitamins contained in the Improver preparation reduces the amount of E. coli bacteria. After 1–2 weeks, young birds develop immunity to the virus.

Recommended administration:

For treatment: For young birds showing signs of adenovirus, such as vomiting, loss of appetite, poor digestion, and reluctance to train, use AdenoS in water at 5 ml/liter for 5–6 days or until symptoms disappear. The dose can be increased to 10 ml/liter in case of severe symptoms. It is beneficial to combine with electrolytes, e.g., Belgamax, 1 teaspoon per liter of water.

After the AdenoS treatment, we recommend administering Improver and Antifungal for an additional 5–7 days.

For prevention: (to avoid disease) Give AdenoS 5 ml/liter for 3–4 consecutive days per week. During the racing season, 3–4 consecutive days after each race.
