Actief IJzer Tonic – Iron Supplement for Pigeons

Actief IJzer is a dietary supplement that supports the production of hemoglobin — a key component of red blood cells responsible for transporting oxygen to all parts of the body. Maintaining an adequate hemoglobin level is especially important during periods of increased physical exertion, such as the racing season, breeding period, and molting. Iron deficiency, particularly in young pigeons, is a common issue that leads to metabolic disorders and decreased performance. During intense effort, pigeons primarily derive energy from fat metabolism — a process that requires oxygen, and therefore an adequate amount of hemoglobin in the blood.

Ingredients: Apple cider vinegar, dextrose

Analytical components: crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, crude ash, methionine, lysine

Recommended usage:

During breeding season: twice a week, 15 ml per 2 liters of drinking water or mixed with feed for 25 pigeons.
Two weeks before the racing season: three times a week, 15 ml per 2 liters of water.
As a treatment: 10 ml per 1 liter of drinking water for 10 consecutive days.

Notes: Shake well before use. Store in a cool, dark, frost-free place. Supplementary feed for pigeons.
